Welcome to Sonome Sounds. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sonome Sounds website at sonomesounds.com (“Site”) and your purchase of digital products, including audio sample packs, virtual instruments (VST/AU plugins), and any other digital goods offered through the Site (“Products”). By accessing the Site or purchasing any Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Sonome Sounds is operated by Sonome Sounds LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States (“we,” “us,” “our”).

1. Products and Digital Delivery

All Products sold through the Site are digital goods delivered electronically. Upon successful payment, you will receive access to download your purchased Products. No physical goods are shipped.

Products may include, but are not limited to, drum sample packs, sound libraries, audio loops, one-shots, virtual instrument plugins (VST, AU, AAX formats), and preset packs.

2. Payment Processing and Merchant of Record

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles billing, payment processing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf. When you make a purchase, you are buying from Paddle, who then remits payment to us. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Paddle’s terms of service and buyer terms, which can be found at paddle.com.

3. Pricing and Taxes

All prices displayed on the Site are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes may be added at checkout based on your location. Paddle handles all tax calculations and collection as required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Any price changes will not affect orders already completed.

4. License Grant — Royalty-Free Use

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual, worldwide license to use the purchased audio content (samples, loops, one-shots, and similar audio files) in your own musical compositions, productions, and creative projects.

You may:

• Use the audio content in commercial and non-commercial music productions, including songs, albums, film scores, podcasts, video games, advertisements, and similar works.
• Modify, layer, process, and manipulate the audio content as part of your productions.
• Release and distribute your finished works that incorporate the audio content without paying additional royalties to Sonome Sounds.

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, share, or give away the audio content in its original or modified form as standalone samples, loops, sample packs, or sound libraries.
• Include the audio content in any product that competes with Sonome Sounds, such as other sample packs, construction kits, or sound design libraries.
• Claim ownership of the underlying audio content itself.
• Transfer, sublicense, or assign your license to another person or entity.

For VST plugins and software instruments, the license permits installation and use on your own computers for music production. Specific usage limits (such as the number of installations) will be stated on the relevant Product page.

5. Intellectual Property

All Products, content, trademarks, logos, and materials on the Site are owned by Sonome Sounds LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the underlying intellectual property to you. Your rights are limited to the license granted in Section 4.

6. Account Responsibilities

If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonome Sounds LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Site or Products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Product giving rise to the claim.

Products are provided “as is.” While we strive for the highest quality, we do not guarantee that Products will be compatible with every hardware or software configuration.

8. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within the United States.
